Kristy Ritzel

Breanna Jewell

Brea grew up in Johnson City, NY and discovered her love of horses in college while she was at RIT, where she rode on the western equestrian team. Now she spends as much time as possible with her three horses, Joey, Isabelle, and Jasper. She enjoys fox hunting, hunter pacing, and participating in other events with the Genesee Valley Hunt Club. She and Joey even won the GVH Point to Point in 2022.

Brea has been an invaluable member of Henderson Equine since 2015, and you’ll usually find her helping Dr Bonny with her appointments. She is currently in the process of earning her Veterinary Technician degree.

Kristy has been actively involved in the horse community since she was 9 years old. She attended SUNY Morrisville to earn degrees in Equine Science and Management as well as Western Breaking & Training. She then went on to earn certifications in farriery and equine massage from Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre in West Virginia.

Kristy’s main interests in the horse world have included eventing, western pleasure, and more recently, ranch riding. When she’s not working with horses or assisting Dr Lauren with her farm calls, you can usually find her bundled up in a hockey rink in Boston, watching her very talented daughter play.

Tarinda Sutton

Sondra Widger

Sondra is originally from Rochester NY and is currently studying at Genessee Community College in order to earn her degree as a Veterinary Technician. She started at Henderson Equine as a student completing an externship, but she fit in so well with the team, she is now working as a technician on the road with our doctors.

She spends most of her free time with her family, maintaining her farm menagerie, consisting of turkeys, chickens, ducks, reptiles, cats, two dogs named Odin & Morgan, and of course, her horse Gypsy.

Tarinda is originally from Dansville NY, but moved to Texas to study Equine Industry & Business with an Animal Science minor at West Texas A&M University. Tarinda moved back to the area to open her own training and boarding barn in Mt Morris NY (Infinity Seven).

Tarinda worked as a wrangler riding in the outdoor musical TEXAS! and a cowboy at Gracie B Ranch in Texas and now enjoys trail riding, shooting, line dancing and spending time with her border collie, Maverick. Tarinda has been with HEC since December of 2021 and works in our office, especially with processing lab work.

Marlene Beil

Lezlie Kennedy

Lezlie was born and raised right around the corner in Fowlerville NY, where she was involved in 4-H and Pony Club while growing up.

Lezlie attended college in Ithaca, studying Animal Science at Cornell University. She stayed in Ithaca after school and made a career working in small animal veterinary hospitals, until recently, when she moved back to the area to be closer to family. Lezlie started working at HEC in November of 2021 and is our primary receptionist, assisting clients with scheduling, financials and communication.

Marlene and her husband Roger bought their first farm in 1981 in Pavilion, where they were able to peacefully raise their family.

Over the years, their family has been involved with everything from riding horses to draft horses. She used to show a 4 horse hitch of Percheron mares, which evolved into a side-business with weddings on the weekends.

After retiring from her busy business career, Marlene decided to take her talents to Henderson Equine in 2018, handling the financial side of things.
